Flamenco ruffles

One of my absolute favourite collections from the coming SS13 season was Balenciaga, I was so incredibly taken with the cropped silhouettes, flamenco ruffles and dip hemmed skirts, not to mention the gold rings!!
Nicolas Ghesquiere said he was inspired by movies and the flamenco dance when creating Balenciaga's SS13 collection. That dance movement , inspired by some Balenciaga ballet design from the 1930s, was expressed in the flamenco ruffles that spiraled around a skirt, buoyed up by the stiff bonded fabric that seemed to capture the flounces in a frozen moment of dynamic animation.
These ruffled skirts makes me feel like a flamenco dancer! So let's dance!

Kensington Gardens
A beautiful talented friend of mine asked me if I could model for her jacket collection which was for our university project. We chose Kensington Gardens for the location and had a blast shooting the photos. We combined the jacket she designed with the skirt I designed. This skirt is very special to me because it is first thing I ever designed...Happy sunny sunday everyone !
